Any time you get stuck and stop seeing progress, you need to look at a few other pieces of the puzzle before looking at your training. I believe that the list of priorities for fat loss and optimum health looks like this:

  1. Nutrition
  2. Sleep
  3. Stress Management
  4. Movement
  5. Training

Good nutrition, plenty of high-quality sleep, stress management, and daily movement should be just as important as training when it comes to fat loss and optimum health.

This is a tough concept for many women to wrap their heads around. Training is enjoyable, but like anything else, it has its time and place. Improving nutrition, sleep, stress control, and overall movement will have much more of an impact, than increasing exercise and resulting in over training or injury.

Exercise develops physical and mental strength, and offers a plenty of other benefits, but you don’t have to give up your life in order to reap the rewards.

At Bondi Vixen, we are big fans of doing the type of training that provides the most benefit, in the least amount of time, and just enough of it to get the results that we want, without added stress.

For most women, we suggest doing our STRENGTH and CONDITIONING classes in the park, 2-3 times per week and 1-2 Interval Training sessions (HIIT) per week whether it be BOXFIT, MAX or our SHRED and LEAN classes on the beach. Plus adding in an active recovery day with our Vixen FLOW session to reset and revive the body, which is key for great performance and injury prevention. Our KICKFIT classes are a must for those who want to use their mind aswell as body with combos, lots of co-ordination and technique and its a fantastic fat burner that will keep you firing 24/7.

The rest of your results will come from good nutrition, sleep, stress control, and overall movement.

Training is meant to enhance and optimize. It’s a way to develop strength to enable you to enjoy life and all that it has to offer. The most effective training is smart training, not unnecessarily hard training.

At Bondi Vixen, we want you to feel confident knowing that what you’re doing to look good, feel good, and be healthy and strong are not only based on tested, reliable, and safe information from experienced trainers (me!), but that it’s also effective and efficient. That’s why we developed our 21 Day Challenge. So you can experience first hand our Female Functional Fitness training with no long term commitment.

This our most popular program to date and the results speak for themselves. Our next round starts on February 27th and our goal is to teach you all of this with our Clean Eating Plan, Functional Training and Mindset Education.
